| Cockpit Modification (DC3/C47 65ARTP):
BSAS International is currently exploring an upgrade of
the DC3/C67 65ARTP to a glass cockpit. Integrating Garmin,
Honeywell or Rockwell into the cockpit, this modification
is aimed at reducing maintenance and improving the flight
control console.
Other areas being improved are sound-proofing, the steering
column and seats within the cockpit, all directed at improving
the cockpit aesthetics.
Cargo Door Modification (DC3/C47 65ARTP):
The DC3/C47 65ARTP is largely used as a rural cargo &
transport aircraft, the aircrafts ability to land on almost
any surface whilst also having impressive performance and
payload capabilities allow BSAS to market to logistics &
relief companies. To improve the Turbo Daks cargo abilities,
a “shell flap” could be installed into the airframe,
this will increase the height of cargo that could be loaded
onto the plane.
Engine Modification (DC3/C47 65ARTP):
Whilst BSAS backs up its P&W Canada PT6A 65AR engines
with Hartzell HC-B5MP-3C/M10876 propellers, customers have
in certain instances requested installation of the P&W
Canada PT6A 67R engines using Hartzell HC-B5MA-3/M11276
propellers.
